Five years of infectious fervour.

Five years of infectious fervour.

To the old, new and what lingers in between.

As we made our way to Love Fools amid the narrow Bandra streets, the magic of five incredible years finally shaped into tangible reality. The iridescently lit candles, the warm yellow glow filling the room and an infectious fervour in the air, everything invited us for a peek into what’s gone by while celebrating all that’s new. A new milestone.

That’s your Eureka moment on an inebriated Friday evening at Centrick’s fifth anniversary. The wins, losses and celebrations are a part of it all. The bigger plan for the next five to infinity.

While it’s a fresh experience to be part of the cozy Centrick office tucked away on a quiet street of Khar West, there’s a strange sense of familiarity. The place looks familiar, and the people? Like brothers from another mother. (Because we gotta sound cool, right?) There is an odd nostalgia, maybe because Centrick and I are just beginning our journey—hand in hand, thought by thought, and step by step (salty or sweet, no less). It’s early days, but isn’t that the magic of the first stage of love?

Let me take you back to where it all began. The first stage of love in the grand scheme of Centrick.

Infatuation. The kind that makes you trip over your words and stumble over your actions. That’s how I felt seeing the beautifully written Centrick website. Kirloskar, Vespa, Aprilia, we were just getting started. So, it’s no surprise that during my 10 a.m. interview at Plates and Pint, when Malavika asked for the drinks menu, I (but naturally) blurted, ‘Are we getting drunk this early?’

Disillusion. The kind where you persist to see a rosy picture. As the coffee turns a bit colder, the language turns more corporate and endless staring at the screen becomes a ritual, you persist. So, each time Roy asks, “What are you looking at the blank screen from the past ten minutes?” It only makes sense to say, “Everything.” Metaphorically, at a legacy that’s been painted by an agency so new.

Attachment. The kind where you grow fond because it’s a part of your existence. You reheat the coffee that’s turned cold, type the corporate jargon a bit quicker, and finally make sense of the endless staring. That’s how quickly Centrick makes you your own.

The endless party that is Centrick, with its golden glow and a team that makes everything effortlessly chic—we’ve found love that lasts. The kind that makes you fall for everything all at once.

To five and infinity.

Happy Anniversary.
Happy Infinity.
Happy Centrick.
